Quality issues with other PLA brands than BambuLab

Original BBL filament was taped the end of the filament to the spool, effectively not only preventing the runout sensor from working but also clogging and hence destroying it. I only hope that they no longer are selling those batches.

I never encountered such issues with off-brand filament.

… come to think of it… have you tried slowing down the toolhead? sometimes the rheology of the 4rd party filament is a bit off… slowing the extruder down might help… sure, the prints will take longer and you’ll have a slightly bigger carbon footprint but that is the price of using non-BBL filament, isn’t it?

I use Generic PLA settings for Filamentum Extrafil and the results have been virtually perfect with several multi-color prints.

This was the best filament made before Bambu, Creality Hyper PLA and eSun PLA Plus were released.
