Hey guys
i’m struggling with getting my A1 to print nicely with Sunlu Matte PLA.
As you can see in the attached images the outer Walls are pretty rough and extremely sensitiv to changes in speed (.4 Nozzle, .2mm layer height).
is it that this filament is just unsuitable for printing at speeds higher then 20mm/s?
i tried loading the filament as Bambu PLA Basic as well as matte and generic, Resultat dont differ much.
coming from PolyTerra, the overall quality is really disappointing atm. similiar prints with PolyTerra had almost no distinguishable layerlines compared to this
Any help is highly appreciated!
I had similar problems with Sunlu Matte Green. It looks amazing but is finicky.
I used a sledgehammer in the slicer and 1) disabled minimum layer times, 2) cranked fan to 100%, 3) set speed for all actions to 100mm/s and 4) used 230C hotend. I got the mildest of wispy strings but the flow rate changes no longer became as visually (and structurally - poor layer bonding) pronounced. That temp worked for the matte effect I wanted out of the green, you may want to tune that value yourself, but keep it high IMO.
Your eyeball problem though looks related to filament change / purge - the eyeball’s grey looks to be still infiltrating the body lines. Increase purge by double, see if that helps, and back it down little by little if you care to tune it.
@Bullocks thanks for your feedback. Will try your suggenstions asap.
just realized i forgot to add the Screenshot of the speeds the slicer choose for the head. as you can see it sped up alot around the eyes.
most likely both of the issues played together here.
