Question About H2D AMS Combo – Unused Laser/Cutter Features

Bambu Lab’s @SupportAssistant
I’m interested in the H2D AMS Combo printer. I already own multiple lasers and have access to a Cricut, so I have no need for the laser or cutting features included with this machine.

My question is:
What additional complexity—software, hardware, or firmware—is introduced in the H2D AMS Combo to support the laser and cutting functions, and how might that impact someone who plans to use the printer strictly for 3D printing?

In short, am I inheriting any overhead or limitations from unused features?

Thanks in advance.

If you buy the non-laser Combo and don’t install “Bambu Suite” you shouldn’t be affected by it at all.

just go for it

Maybe a slightly heavier head compared to a printer that would have been designed without these add-on features. It is a 3D printer first, with the ability to add more capabilities.
