I have a set of my own filament profiles that I’ve setup for best results with the filaments I use (many different brands). I save these as USER PRESET profiles. When I load someone else’s .3MF project file all I get is whatever filament profiles that were defined in that project. I loose access to all of my USER PRESETs. Not understanding why this happens. Is there any way to restore my USER PRESETs so I can access them when I load an external .3MF?
Now, what I have to do is load the external .3MF, look through everything to see what settings were used and note these. Then I reload my generic .3MF project file which has my USER PRESETs defined. Then I add a plate to that and load the external .3MF but say to import geometry only. This brings the project in but keeps my USER PRESETs intact so I can select whatever I need. Then I have to go back in and modify any settings based on what the external project originally had. After I finish printing, I save the new project so I have it available for later use. This works but is a pain. Guessing I’m missing something with all this and there’s probably an easier way to do what I want. Appreciate any guidance. Thanks.
