How does the smooth PEI plate for the H2D compare to the textured one in terms of adhesion? I’m getting good, reliable results with the textured plate but an upcoming project requires a smooth surface.
This project will be in PLA but I’m curious about use with ABS too. All feedback appreciated.
There is less adhesion, but nothing that will cause issues if you have BS set to the correct plate.
Personally I’ve found the Smooth PEI has better adhesion than the textured plate especially with ABS. The key to both is keeping your fingerprints off of them and washing with dish soap when adhesion starts to be an issue.
