Quick Position item on Plate

I have seen posts about this, but they seem to be more advanced that what I’m asking (How to position items on top of other items etc.). All I need is to place an item onto the plate.

Thus far it seems I need to position my items at Z zero in Fusion first, for them to be sitting on the Plate in Bambu Studio. Otherwise I have to use the grey lines to judge by eye whether or not an object is sitting on the plate. Is there a button/quick-key to ‘Place on Plate’ so it sits on the plate?

Setting the world zero co-ord uses the center of the part, I dont want that, I want the lowest point of the external wall to drop to contact with the plate.

That is automatically done by Bambu Studio.

Apologies but I dont understand. When i import my 3mf my objects are floating in the air above the plate. If I dont adjust them, there is a lot of wasted support material printed underneath them when the gcode is generated. How can I get Bambu Studio to drop them to the plate automatically?

Press F and select the face you want to be located on the build plate.

Alternatively, if you want the software to decide, press this icon:

Ahh, it wasn’t working because I imported them as parts instead of separate objects. Thank you!

Right click on the part and select “drop”
