I can’t understand how the printing time of an object can change just changing the filament.
I am printing a small part and seen that if i change just the filament from PLA+ to PLA Basic, the time is doubled, the process is always the same, how is possible ?
The process is the only one that change speeds or not ?
The only thing I know that changes speeds is quality or nozzle type. But I don’t know if they change when you switch filaments, is there any presets you’re using or is it literally you just change the type in the drop down?
No i just change filament, I can’t understand what parameter in the filament can double the time. Same part, same process, different filament, double time with the basic PLA
There are two filament settings that directly affect print times:
- Obviously the max flow setting
- Less obviously, cooling/fan speed settings when the print is slowed to achieve the minimum layer time
