Ratings being held hostage

So this person is abusing the rating system holding me hostage at 2 stars unless I comply to his demands of improving my attitude. Im pretty sure the rating is for the print quality not his hurt feelings or customer service. This is abusive. He is mad because i wont change my license so he can upload his “remix”. Now hes threatening to “redesign” it and upload as his own model.

all conversation can be seen here I simply wanted him to provide more detail for improvements I could make as others in the comments have done, instead of a vague “poor design” with no printed image feedback

It’s petty, the report would be a no-brainer. It’s hard not to argue, but not worth your time.

it’s kinda funny ^^ The roles are reversed ^^

I find this funny actually.

Lol! he’s so entitled.

You can report him for the simple fact that he’s rating the model and not the print profile itself.

Usually, I don’t report that kind of rating but just for his attitude, a report is more than deserved ^^

Does blocking him stop him from downloading your files?

Not sure if downloads get blocked but it blocks his ratings

when people leave a bad review with no feedback, creators complain…
when people leave a bad review with feedback, creators complain…
when people don’t leave reviews, creators complain…

maybe the problem is not with people leaving reviews, but with the common denomiator in this three sentences…

Yeah, No creators → No prints → Problem solved.

except that before ratings, before reviews, before incentives in form of points, contests, and discounts, there was plenty of creators, not complaining. On thingiverse there are creations with thousands of downloads, not one comment or review, or incentive. So I think there maybe is two types of creators.

But that’s not important.
Someones complain, others no… and?

Always had been creators that shared they works for nothing.
Now there are those creators AND the ones that want something back.

If the “price” to have those extra creators are some complaining in a forum… they are welcome.

Joe Public or Scammy Sam are usually the subject of said Creator drama. People have a hard time showing respect for other peoples work, just because its shared doesn’t mean its free to abuse the privilege.

Yeah that’s cool, and I will be there to be amused by that attitude with snarky comments

There are too many psychopathic “creators” out there … I have had abuse from a number who did not like the 4 star rating I gave due to model design issues, one was toxic enough to give my only upload a low rating as a malicious action. I reported the malicious rating and it was removed. I also blocked the miscreant.

The most recent abuse was from someone who claimed I should not be rating his profile because I made minor adjustments in Bambu Studio before I attempted to print. I know when models are the cause of the problem and my comment was positive about the model but commenting on the adjustments others could make to improve the print result.

I guess the reason for them having that attitude is that you don’t earn points if your print profile does not have a rating above I think 4 stars? Not sure where you encounter those people, all comments I got were friendly, not a single one of them was in any way malicious. Some people should just chill, like those extra 8 points have much worth, lol.

The worst I saw was this one Build Plate Guide - The Fuss Free Way For Build Plate Alignment by TotalChaos - MakerWorld where another creator accused the creator that their “ideas” were stolen. And maybe that one, but that is in the forum: Contest winner Stole the model

4 stars rating does not drop the points value of the model/profile. I in fact get a lot of friendly conversation with the rare 4 star reviews I give, I for the vast majority rate 5 stars (or not at all as I know less than 4 stars distorts the scoring algorithm rather than just for that one interaction.)
