Hey fellow makers! I just had to share my two latest builds using Bambu Lab’s CyberBrick kit. Seriously, this no-solder RC system is a game-changer for hobby projects!
The RC Crab:
This “little” guy was supposed to be a toy for my kid, but I might be having more fun with it than he is!
The suspension actually works better than I expected
Super compact front axle with great turning radius
Added some sweet headlights because why not?
Works with rubber tires from CyberBrick Kit or with different sizes included to .3mf
Why I Love CyberBrick:
Finally an RC kit where:
No soldering means more time for designing
You can prototype ideas crazy fast
There’s room to grow (hint hint Bambu Lab!)
Files will be up on my profile soon - just tweaking a few last details. What do you think of these builds? Any suggestions to make them better? Hit me with your ideas in the comments!
It’s almost exact mechanism. We both started to do our projects in a secret, later it turned out that it is so similar. Strandbeast walking mechanism. Josh is way more experienced than I am, I bet his design will win, but I hope it will be a close one
Thank you, MaKim! I love your designs too—I’m glad to be in such a great community with you all. It’s a long way to reach your level, but I’ll do my best to close the gap.
It’s a freakin crab, dude. It’s already a winner. Look, you want my expert advice on how to make it even better than it already is though? It needs a knife.
Wow these are great! Can’t wait to get my kit through and have a good with some of this. Wish I had better cad skills what some of you folk do is incredible
That crab looks awesome! I just finished adding a couple more add-on kits. I can’t wait to see what the community starts creating once they actually get their hands on these!
You go back to the Kickstarter page, “Manage your Pledge” up the top right of the page, then click “Change your pledge”. It’ll show you what you have currently pledge for. You can either change your pledged (i.e. you originally backed “B - Beginner Hardware Kit - KS Special” and now want “C - Ultimate Hardware Kit - KS Special” - as long as it is not marked “not available” you can pledge for that instead. Or, simply go into the one you pledge for before, and you’ll then have the options for the addons for that pledge tier. You can then choose a different number of addons and then confirm your payment again.
Thanks for the tip! I totally missed that I could select the SAME ‘reward’ and that would open up the add on page and I was able to increase the number of Beginner Hardware kits in my ‘pledge’.
I looked at the Kickstarter Kit parts lists and didn’t see any N20 motors in the list. Since there are four (I think) different N20 configurations for sale on Maker’s Supply, which configuration did you use for this model?
Hi @TomczukCustoms
Impressive job!
I’m new to cyberbrick, can you tell me if the stearing of the car can be progressive or it as only 3 positions (all left, all right and straight)
