is this why day two of a contest you see a handful of “creators” gain like 300 likes and a butt ton of pub? i also noticed that these models are also linked with other platforms such as cults and others… is that ok here. seems unfair to the “unknown” creator. ive seen some good models get ghosted simply because of dl count or up vote.
Do you have some examples?
yes… this is printables… and both examples are side by side. left is them and right is bambu…
these are just a couple
you meant examples of people with the same model across all these formats right?
Yeah, you supplied sufficient evidence.
I do not see the crushed cup in any contest nor the plane though.
You mentioned these as examples of gaining the contests, unless I read that wrong.
Ineligible Models
- Old models, i.e., models that were published before the Contest Period.
Terms and Conditions
- Please ensure that the model you upload is your original creation and refrain from reposting models from other websites.
The first clause isn’t exactly clear if it means only to MW.
The second clause is not exactly a hard and fast rule given it says “refrain”.
I would recommend reporting it seeing what the result is and reporting back.
I really don’t understand you, I’m sorry.
It seems like there’s a huge misunderstanding between what I’m trying to say and what you’re understanding.
It’s quite confusing.
I responded to your accusation that I am guilty of spamming people, your words.
I pointed out I do not and had already stated my dislike of any one who does.
But you do spam models.
Anyway, have a nice day
Edit; I would appreciate if the reporting system wasn’t weaponised for comments with criticism you dislike.
What is wrong with you?
You go around trolling people, making up rubbish, spewing rhetoric and being annoyed the rest of the world is driving on the other side of the road from you.
Have you thought of being better?
Buddy what’s wrong with you? I provided a nice contructive comment and everything and you took offence to it. If you don’t see you’re spamming models then you’re blind.
You’re the one going around here acting like a hall-monitor for the forum and makerworld
Yes unless i’m missing something, this option only notifies users who made a print profile on your model. There’s no way to directly ping everyone who ever made your model.
Regarding the topic, I think some sort of version control would be a great option. A single model page really isnt built for handling multiple versions and revisions, especially if previous versions still have some relevance or different features. It’s also nice to keep the feedback seperate, as in my case many people downloaded a V1 of my model & I still want to offer support on it.
For contest rules, the lines are really muddy between what is and isnt a remix, and what constitutes a V1 vs a V2. Ultimately it’s different for each maker.
