In the latest update to term and conditions we now have to upload “real life photos” of our models, I can understand why they have done this and agree with the reason (cloners and AI models) that the person submitting it has never even printed!? But does this also include having to print custom modification versions? what I mean is I have been asked a few times for mods to be done to my models to suit a persons build, which I upload as a separate print profile and use a screenshot from fusion 360 for the picture, as I have no reason what so ever to print said modified version myself.? I sort of agree with this rule if it means the main model but not modified versions uploaded to the originals page.? Or am I reading this wrong ? if not i’ll have to consider no longer doing custom versions as it will cost me more than just my time 
yes I could send the custom version via email etc, but this sort of defeats the point as someone else might then come along and that modded version is better for them than my original ??
I assume you are posting the custom version as a print profile. In that case, Yes, a real print image is required.

Depending on how substantial the modification is. I would just add the other configuration as a new plate in the print profile.
Print profiles already required to print at least one real photo of it.
In your scenario I used to publish the mods I didn’t want to print as stl files, then asked the people to eventually upload a print profile for those (or give me a picture so I could do that).
But it’s now saying you have to have a real photo to publish said mod and not just the stl file, I have never been able to just publish a file without uploading a picture… I guess as a workaround I could use the originals photo on the modded version to publish it for my users?
That work around would probably work for awhile because of no active policing. Though asking here we are going to tell you that it is still against the terms and conditions.
How are you posting the modifications now? Is a new model or just a print profile?
You should still have an accurate print image. (As that is a reportable offense)
On the model edit page there’s a “Browse” and “New Folder” button. Anything you upload there will be added to the model files and you won’t need a picture. You can add .3mfs there and they won’t show as a print profile on the model. You can even add zip files there. If you wanted to keep the mods separated you could create a folder for each one and name it something so the person who requested it would recognize it.
To download these files the person has to click “Download STL/CAD files” and they will get a list to pick from:

Everyone remain calm, I just “reset tool” and the arrow heads are back. by adding this I’ve also opened Malc up for several more jokes.

AI is getting good to generate fake 3d printed photos of models:
Aside form the fake background, this looks “3d printed” right?
But look at the gear on the side. Looks like it has been printed on the bed of the printer… but the model is not assembled.
Print lines make no sense the more you look at them.
All the inserts looks super weird, and different. And useless.
Not talking about the pistons on the neck. 
I agree, the photo is completely fake.
Not to mention that the print lines are running in all sorts of impossible directions.
He only specified PLA standard, but suddenly it has to have a metallic gloss finish? How is that supposed to work? We can also see it on the screws or, as in the photo, on the strange piston.
We can also see that he’s presumably cheating with the boosts. That ratio is devastating. It was only printed three times, but there are nine boosts? Exactly! 
On top of that, consider the strange jumps in skill level: on the one hand, the worst AI models; on the other, amateurish 3D models that were probably made by hand; and then, suddenly, something so extremely complex? High-precision joints?

I have no idea if and how you can report this to MakerWorld when someone simply uploads stuff from Gumroad that normally costs money. 
I mean, he didn’t even bother to remove the watermark that is still on the bottom!
I suspected that those models were stolen, but I tried searching for them using Google’s reverse image search and didn’t find anything. 
yeah, I don’t think makerworld will do anything if the author doesn’t report it by themselves. I’ll try to message him.

When someone asks me for a special variation on a part I designed, I just make the modification and upload it as a CAD model and tell them to download it and make their own plate. I tell them if they want to add a print profile for their print on my page, they’re more then welcome to. So far, nobody has taken me up on it, but I know some people have printed my variations.
I understand the reasoning behind it from Bambu Lab point of view, but I do think in some situations it is a little bit ridiculous and restrictive.
Another piece of news, albeit a minor one: it is now marked as AI. I am 100% sure that wasn’t the case yesterday.
…and other models from him have now also been marked as AI from yesterday to today.
Which now makes it ineligible to be in the exclusive program.
