Just received my brand new H2C and as I was undoing screws and removing the cables ties discovered a crack on the Inner Lining Upper Cover - Right. Has anyone faced this situation?
Of course Package was delivered by FEDEX so the box was all messed up but I do not believe this crack will be cause by transportation given that no other area presents any damage.
I’m not sure I agree that nothing else being obviously damaged means the damage didn’t happen in shipment. Depends on how the part is stressed/loaded and the direction and duration of the mechanical shock. And there’s a lot of printer hidden behind all those plastic bezels, there could be additional damage that’s not immediately evident.
Either way, though, firing it up and seeing how it works is the next step.
No idea what else got broken in there, could be a fire risk
call bambu ASAP and reject that printer
edit well maybe if you were a qualified mechatronics engineer you can go start it up it as you know what to look for, but i guessed you weren’t from the post you made
Yeah I opened a case with Bambu anyway. Just wanted to see if this could be an issue other ppl it seeing. I did continue with the calibration and did the fidget toy print without any issue. I do have a weird blowing noise when the unit is in idle almost like coil whining but I cannot really detect where is it coming from. To me it just hurt a little to have a new device with a broken part.
Yes I agree just kind of sucks after paying that much money. Also this is the area where the heater and exhaust fan are. My concern would be long term use can cause the crack to get bigger and leak air thru it. Opened already a bambu case. Just looking for other ppl with the same situation. Might have to pack it and send it back to Bambu
Any time I buy anything brand new, especially a high ticket item like the H2C, it gets shipped right back if there’s the slightest bit of damage or if it doesn’t look brand new. Now that being said I know people who will keep items that arrive with damage but still work or they will just fix it themselves because they don’t want to hassle with returning it. I’m not one of them. I paid for a brand new undamaged item, I expect a brand new undamaged item. My personal experience with bambu went it comes to items that are damaged during shipping or don’t work on arrival is that they give you 3 options.First they will offer to send you the replacement part for the one that was damaged for you to install and they will offer you a free roll of filament of your choice (up $19.99) as compensation for your troubles. Second,If you don’t want to do that then they will send you a return shipping label for you to ship it back to them. Then once they receive it they will inspect it and ship a replacement to you. Third, if you don’t want to wait for them to receive yours back before shipping you a new one, you pay for a new replacement up front and then they will credit you back the money once they receive and inspect your broken one.
I am dealing with an issue where support responses take several days, which is slowing down any meaningful progress. Each reply cycle introduces unnecessary delays, and the lack of timely feedback makes it difficult to resolve the problem efficiently. I would appreciate a faster turnaround time or escalation to a team that can handle this with more urgency.
Open a ticket and request a replacement, when they approve the replacement choose “immediate replacement”, pay with a credit card that has cash back and pay using PayPal with that card. Let them send you a new printer immediately, at the same time you send them the broken one. You will get your new printer faster, they will inspect yours and reimburse your money a couple of weeks later. At that time you’ll get $50 - $100 in cash back (depending on your card) Consider that as a payment for your hassle and time wasted.
You have to remember they are in China. It is a 12hr time difference from the US. So if you send them an email at 3 pm US time it’s 3 am in China. I usually stay up late till around 1:30 am. I find that if I email them around 8 or 9 PM US time, which is 8-9 AM in China, a lot of times I get a reponse before I go to bed…
Have you personally done this? I’m in the process of getting my H2C replaced and same thing, don’t want to wait many many weeks for this to all get done.
It’s just mind boggling to me that we’re fine with a company not making provisions for timely responses to customer service inquiries. I mean, if I am selling a product in China, I would expect to receive and respond to customer inquiries during normal business hours in that country. Not simply say “oh well, the customer can wait til I drag my butt outta bed in my time zone of choice.”
Im going through something similar with Bambu on an H2C that I ordered along with a bunch of other accessories. I have an issue with part of the order that I received an obviously previously opened package and they have used every excuse possible to not take any responsibility, and now the H2C came today and I immediately took a video of the unopened box and sent it to Bambu and now dont want to open it as Im sure if there is anything wrong, Im sure they will be in complete denial and Ill be stuck with a nearly $4k paperweight.
Oh man I feel you. First assuming you are in the USA they use FEDEX and the first and second unit came with beat boxes. However, there was no damage to the unit due to shipping. The replacement I received is clearly a new item however I can tell their QA was not the best. little details here and there and noisy buffer which is an epidemic issue on H2 series. At this point the unit is printing well and I have had no issues with it but honestly I knew what I know now I would just not buy the unit. I am far from rich and saved money for this unit and cannot compare to my experience with the X1C or P1S (which have been running free of issues and noises). Sorry I did not give you any advice just sharing my experience. I do have to say they were quick on my replacement. 2 weeks from shipping the failed unit to received the replacement.
Thanks for your reply.. Im actually in Canada. Im going to think about my experience over the last couple days with Bambu, along with leaving the H2C in its factory packaging. Then Ill decide if Im going to take a chance and open the box or just return the entire order and not bother buying from Bambu ever again. I do have an X1C that I have had for about a year and have had a couple issues with that like the 4to1 module failing in the AMS when the cover over the gear broke a month after I bought it and Bambu replied that its a consumable part and not a design flaw or manufacturing issue…
