Recent firmware update problems

I hadn’t updated on my A1 mini and experienced exactly this. It would print for a few mins, park the head and start cooling the nozzle to 90c. I’d hit continue and it would go on for another few minutes until parking the head again. I tried a different file and it was all good again. I suspect it was just that 3mf file it didn’t like. I’ve since resliced the original one that failed and reprinted it and all is good.

I’m not saying my a1 printer is special or anything but I didn’t do full calibration after firmware update to 1.04 and it seems fine? bambu cube is 30.0 within 0.02mm.

I will say it had a problem with bed leveling where it just wouldn’t do it the first time I put 1.04 firmware on. Rolled back which fixed it, then when I flashed 1.04 again it was fine. I think there was a bambu studio update at the same time so not sure if that was the issue or what.

im also having issues after updating yesterday, I’m getting layer shifts and my camera and light wont turn on anymore(printer is only a week old)

Have you tried turning the printer off, with the switch on the back, wait 5 minutes and turn it back on yet? (Typical computer fix, but sometimes it does work)

Can confirm the obligatory “have you turned it off and back on again” works, my printer got stuck updating and sort of crashed. Turned it off, left it about ten minutes, turned it back on and literally no issue.

Kinda having same troubles, but with mine the nozzle scrape against the plate. which it has never done before. even though ive done multiple “homing´s” as well even asked to do a new completely calibration which took 30 minutes. but nope, no matter what print quality ill choose, it scrapes onto the plate and onto the filament.

until this point ive never had to calibrate anything bout decimals or not. just choose a modell, scaled it and hit print. and never failed so far ( beside a simple clog )

( Ill beg my pard for this “double post” )

I’ve been printing perfectly fine with a 0.4 nozzle since I posted that.

But I tried a 0.2 multi-colour print today, and it failed in the exact same way… (nonstop purging at the first filament change) I also couldn’t get it to continue this time.

I’ll try a full calibration as someone suggested.

Forgot to mention, after it started purging constantly, I noticed that the bed and nozzle temps were reporting the same value, and incrementing identically:

I just tried the full calibration which failed, and it seems like it had the same issue where the bed and nozzle were reporting the same value.

When it failed both were reporting 115°C degrees Celsius!

After rebooting the machine, it started reporting the values correctly again:

But holy s**t, it heated the damn bed to over 100°C!!!

That’s it, I’m downgrading the firmware.

(the machine was set to 0.2 nozzle during this, but surely that can’t be what’s causing these issues?)

Update:
I downgraded the firmware to v01.03.01.02 and re-ran the calibration; it completed successfully and the temps are stable and reporting correctly.

Ok, so I re-ran my print today with firmware v01.03.01.02 and it printed perfectly with no errors.

I’m going to stay on this version until BambuLab addresses the issues we’ve all observed, and I recommend everyone else does too.

Ive backed up to the older firmware, asked it to do one of those full calibrations. then printed out an old file i had stored on the card. which it behaved very well! gonna try slice a model with the slicer to see if it still drags onto the bedplate. if it does, imma try the older version of bambu studio slicer!
