I have been printing for about a month now and I’m wondering how fast I should make each fan go. I put it to automatic and the chamber gets extremely hot and I don’t really want to prop the door open. Any suggestions for fan speeds? I am printing pla basic, 55º heat bed, 215º hot end.
I have found playing with fan settings to be a box of pandora as there are many different variables. Environemtal temp, speed effects, etc
A much better approach is to actually measure the chamber temp (there are several thermo-/hygrometer mounts on MakerWorld that let you observe the chamber temp through the camera) and the just prop up the lid.
I usually target 35-39°C for PLA, <35°C for heat creep risking prints (CF, many retracts, ironing,…).

I have thousands of hours of printing and I’ve never (that I recall) changed the fan speed. What problem are you trying to solve?
