Recommended settings for SunLu PLA (not plus)?

Hi, I’m relatively new to the A1. I’ve had it for about a month. I bought a multipack of SunLu PLA on Amazon - 16 colours, 250g spools. These are just basic PLA, as far as I can tell.

Bambu Studio has presets for a few SunLu filaments, but not basic PLA (only plus, matte, silk, etc.). So far, I’ve been printing them using the Generic PLA profile and the results are OK, but I wanted to know if anyone else has used these and created their own profiles?

The sticker on the spools has the following info:

  • ø1.75mm
  • Print temp: 200-210ºC 50-100mm/s
  • Print temp: 210-240ºC 100-200mm/s
  • Bed temp: 50-60ºC

The custom filament screen has a lot more options than just temperature and speed. It’s a bit intimidating to try creating my own preset.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Edit: I meant 250g, not kg. Fixed now.

For me, the default Bambu pla/pla+ profile has worked for just about every brand of filament i have used. But that is just my experience.

I agree with this, but also run a benchy on a filament so you know how it prints using that profile.

The only time (in my experience) that this doesn’t work is with some of the really off brand stuff and creality filament.

Sunlus meta pla likes to be printed 10 to 15 degrees colder than normal, but I’ve had good results on the rest of their stuff with default profiles.

Ello,

I own some SUNLU Silk+ for my printer, on my A1 it only comes up as PLA+, I select PLA+ but then edit it in the filament manager on Bambu Studio. I don’t know why some of these filament types aren’t on the printer.

Did you really buy a quarter tonne of filament? What a dedication.

I have been using the SUNLU PLA+ profile for SUNLU transparent PLA and it seems to work just fine.

Oops. I’m going to need Eddie Hall to help lift these onto the AMS.

I meant 250g, of course

If youre just looking for the fast and dirty settings, Id just run the Generic or, the Bambu profiles. I run both for Sunlu, 3DHOJOR, Kingroon and others. I dont bother with making custom profiles unless its for a specialty material and/or plate combo.
