Rectilinear Interlaced broken for Normal Supports? or misunderstanding?

For the first time in my printing journey, what I think is a Bambu Studio bug has prevented me from printing properly. This simple interface pattern change has greatly improved my overhangs but now I cannot utilize it

For normal supports, it appears the rectilinear interlaced pattern is broken and simply sets it as rectilinear. Other patterns/styles of interface work, as well as rectilinear interlaced for tree supports.

Is this truly a bug or am I misunderstanding some other support setting that overrides the interface pattern? Number of interface layers and editing the spacing made no change

There’s an open Github issue for it. It would help if you made a post in there as well to get more visibility on the issue. Squeaky wheel and all…

Thank you, I did see that Github post but wasn’t sure the protocol for something reported 2+ years ago and still open. FWIW, I have definitely had it work normally for normal supports between the creation of the issue on Github and the latest release - this seems to be a recent reappearance of this bug

If it’s not closed, it’s fair game!

Honestly, I suspect it’s either proving to be a tricky issue, it’s somewhat intermittent, as you suggested, it’s just not an issue for many people, or some combination of the three.

I honestly would have never known, when I use supports now it’s almost always on my H2C and I use interfacing materials, so the pattern is always “solid” now.
