What happens to current remixes if a user decides to change a model to exclusive. Do the remixes need to be taken down?
any remixes before switching to Standard Digital license will stay and small notice will show that this was done before the switch.

Nope, and as long as you have downloaded the model with the cc license you are free to re-upload it in original form as long as you give attribution
The licenses and CC0 cannot be revoked. This means once you apply a CC license to your material, anyone who receives it may rely on that license for as long as the material is protected by copyright, even if you later stop distributing it.

So in other words: if I write a textbook and publish it under a CC BY license in 2019, and then change my mind and apply a CC-BY-NC license to it in 2021, the second license has no effect on the public’s rights with regard to my work. However, if I apply a CC-BY-NC license in 2019 and then change my mind and apply a CC BY license in 2021, the second license does affect the public’s rights – because in this case, I haven’t tried to revoke any rights previously granted. I’ve only expanded them.
The biggest takeaway? I’d say it’s the message communicated by the Creative Commons Organization itself on its FAQ page: “You should think carefully before choosing a Creative Commons license.” (Assuming, of course, you actually get to choose.)

this is what i call extinctive details 
But that means the models cannot be exclusive because despite the license being placed, remixes of previous remixes can still be made. This is super confusing
