The new dessicant packages have that typical paper/fabric bag that desiccant usually comes in. And that is within a plastic bag. I removed the plastic bag.
Do you know if it is the same old package of desiccant within the paper/fabric bag and are we supposed to remove the outer paper bag? They talk about looking at the desiccant so you can tell when it needs to be replaced but you can’t see anything when it is within the paper/fabric bag.
The desiccant packs for the AMS?
The last set of those I put in had the plastic bag overwrap and the paper/fabric inner bag. I only removed the plastic bag overwrap and put the paper/fabric bags in the AMS. Humidity responded as it should so pretty sure you don’t open the paper/fabric bag.
You can’t see the desiccant but you can feel it. It starts as granular kind of feeling like sand or a chunk in a bag but gets gel-like as it absorbs water.
