Remove Old Broken Plastic From Metal Housing

Hi,
I took a commercially available product, which is a holder or hanger for a violin, and I cut it, with a metal tubing cutter. I printed a 3D part to allow me to mount it to a music stand. See pic.

The 3D printed part goes into the hollow shaft of the violin hanger (after cutting it). And uh, yeah I glued the 3D printed part (a shaft of sorts) with JB Weld.

Well… I put the mount with the modified violin hangers in a suitcase and shipped it…AND… the 3D printed part snapped. See more pics. OUCH… snap, crackle and pop.
Uhhhhh is there any way to remove the plastic from inside tubing shaft of the violin hanger? These violin hangers are $30 a pop, and I would love to reuse it if I can. However, “any way” to remove that involves super dangerous chemicals or a laser beam, or something that would take hours… I’d probably pass on.
I don’t know if there’s something (liquid chemical) that I could soak the bottom of the violin hanger to dissolve the plastic inside??

I would use a pair of long nose pliers and grab the infill in the center and rotate back and forth, it should wear the outside circonference enough so that you can slide it out.

EDIT: I just noticed you said you JB welded it… My idea won’t work then, you will need to drill it out and using a dremel would be best.

Perhaps clamp it up in a vice and drill it out carefully / with a press.

Edit: if that is infill, that broke on your z shear line it looks like. Add walls, and/or Orient the model longways or on an angle to get a little better mechanical properties next time.
