Repeated part artifact, printing in petg

I’m getting this weird artifact near one of the holes on a print in black petg.

Everything else looks good on the part just this particular bit.

I’m doing a batch of 20 of these but it also slightly appears in just one item.

I’m not using supports around the hole and just relying on bridging if that makes any difference?

Help please!

This is kinda “typical” after a bridge/overhang with some of the default settings, from my H2C experience. I’ve dealt with it by slowing down walls (especially acceleration and more specifically the speed transition from bridge to “normal”). But also layer cooling can affect it. There’s also Smooth speed discontinuity area which I’ve found quite helpful (set the coefficient setting much lower, like 0.5). Another thing that’s helped me is reducing the cooling fan overhang pre-start time (if that’s enabled, in filament settings) – the 2s default sometimes ends up cooling the whole layer before it even gets to the overhang.

Overall I’d recommend checking the slicer’s preview with print and fan speed coloring applied (and checking the other color schemes never hurts either). I’m guessing the spot with the artifact will become somewhat obvious in at least one of those views.

In addition to the good advice above, I’ve found that using bridges that have high flow [my settings are 1.5x flow 25mm/s, your mileage may vary] tend to restore pressure after they are done bridging better than the normally tuned 1.0x flow settings.

Amazing replies, thank you so much and I thought it would be something to do with overhangs and cooling but this really solidifies it. Will give it ago guys, thank you!
