In the case of Bambu Labs taking action is a matter of housekeeping. I was referring to Courts of Law. The person who has had their work infringed upon.
My knowledge is based in the 1990’s when Digital Copyright was in its fledgling form. I was publishing my books and curious about my rights to my intellectual works. Copyright Law still gives the originator strong legal recourse. The infringer has to prove the work is his/her work. Don’t know how stealing a file, changing a few lines works. That would be the courts discretion.
But Bambu Lab taking a stolen file down is a matter of them not being an accomplice in the act. A CYA move. Good forum keeping. We could hope the person would also be banned. I think that would be appropriate.
I ran across one who is quite blatant about their infringement on well know companies designs. A real ■■■.Feature Request: Block - MakerWorld - Bambu Lab Community Forum
