Replacement Ams 2 Pro

Hi, has anyone had a replacement Ams 2 Pro yet?
Bambu just said I can get a replacement Ams 2 Pro.
But if anyone has had a new one of them, was it ok?
I was thinking just to get old Ams like the one I got with my P1S.
I have 2 Ams. 2 Pro (One is Faulty) and 1 Ams.
If anyone has had a new Ams 2 Pro replacement of them yet, was it ok?
They also said if I replace
As your machine is within the 30 day exchange period, we can request a replacement AMS 2 Pro for you. We also recommend that you try replacing the part to solve the problem, as this is a quicker solution to the problem, and we can send you a roll of PLA as compensation for the trouble of replacing the part yourself. WOW, a free roll, yippee lol.

I have 8 of them. Of the 8, i have one feed thats not working. Says it could be the connection, but I havnt messed wuth it yet. So thats 1 in 32 chance of getting a dead feeder. Not bad

What was wrong with yours?

I would just replace the part. Its easy to work on.

It kept feeding in and out and making clicking sounds, then the error came up saying it cannot feed filament.
A lot of other people have had the same fault.
That’s why I was thinking of just getting the old AMS 1 instead. I don’t need the drying function. I have a Sunlu S4. What are the other benefits of getting the AMS 2 Pro over the AMS 1?
I do not mind waiting for a little bit. I have checked the cables like they asked (well, a friend did). But with arthritis, it can be a bit hard sometimes. My other AMS was doing it at the beginning as aswell but so far it is ok.

I have had no issues with my AMS Pro 2. Even if you don’t need the drying function, the ceramic inlets for feeding are much stronger and should hold up better. The easy access to the tubes under the filament is also much better than the original. While it’s your choice, personally, I’d fix the AMS Pro 2 and/or exchange it.

Thanks for the info. So just exchange it, and I don’t like it when something goes faulty; just get a new one. Not in a mad rush, as my P1S is not working now. Did a nozzle check for blocks and checked the extruder for no blocks and then checked AMS for no blocks. I am using AMS 1 with my AMS 2 on H2D at the moment.
It’s not worked since I got my H2D. Swap P1S with H2d. Had no room in the house. But I got a log cabin for my printers now, and I don’t sell it just for me.
So since I put my P1S in the box, the H2D came in, and it was in the box for a month or so. It was working when I put it in the H2D box.

My man, finally another reasonable person here I can converse with!

Did you get yourself a log cabin as well? Printer McGee.
The thing is, the wife was glad to get me out of the house, but now she comes into my log cabin because it is warm, lol.

I can’t remember which fault which was fault, but I do not think it was that one.
It was just feeding filament in and out. Then started clicking if it was stuck or could not feed it.

I wish! Right now I’ve got them all packed in a 900 sqft condo. Someday hopefully.

How many do you have? PrinterMcGee sounds a lot like that, lol.
I have only 3 P1S A1 and my H2d. But my P1S is not working; check it out. The P1S was my first printer I got.

WAY too many for someone who is just a hobbyist lol, 6 of them are Bambu… then various Elegoos, Vorons and one Prusa. My P1P is what I consider my first real printer. I bought an Elegoo Neptune 3 before that but I ended up returning it because I didn’t know what I was doing.

That’s what the wife said. But she wanted the back garden done. So I was okay, but Bambu’s new printer is coming out. She said, ‘How much?’ I go higher, and when it’s lower, she can’t moan, lol.

Are you using those AMS compatible filament clips on your spools in the AMS 2?
Those are causing similar issues with the AMS 2 also.

There is an updated version for the AMS 2 now.

What do you mean by ‘filament clips’?
Using the same filament on all my AMS, it’s just this one that it does it on.

This may be a stupid suggestion, as I haven’t yet looked into what kind of regular maintenance, if any, an AMS requires, but since the mystery so far remains unsolved, I’ll make the suggestion anyway: maybe the problematic AMS simply needs lubrication?

I meant that these clips cause issues on the AMS 2 Pro https://makerworld.com/en/models/146046-filament-clip-for-bambu-spools?from=search#profileId-158978

This new one is the fixed one https://makerworld.com/en/models/1372020-filament-clip-for-bambu-spools-ams-2#profileId-1418830

No, don’t use them, Gerrit.

One of them did not work right from the beginning.
When you pay this amount of money, then you should not need any.
