I just received an ultimate hardware kit with 2 Li-ion batteries included, which i ordered last week from US store. So unless they changed their policy…
Lithium ion batteries sent without other equipment are regulated differently than with equipment.

It is not so much “without other equipment”, but “within”. The regulations for shipping lithium batteries contained within an appliance/device are a bit more flexible than those for “loose” batteries (and therefore also less expensive to ship, and more shipping/freight options). And then there are those companies that just ship anyway, and hope customs don’t find out.

I need some spare batteries too. They were in stock just before the anniversary sale, but I wanted to wait for the sale … now they are gone
