Report of Copyright Violation and User Misconduct on MakerWorld
Hello everyone,
I hope you are all doing well.
I would like to report a user on MakerWorld who is exploiting other creators’ work for personal profit, clearly violating copyright and license terms.
the name is : Pinolatuille

Initial Discovery – My Model Sold Without Permission
I first noticed this issue when I found one of my own models being sold on Vinted.
The model involved is:
“Minecraft x Kinder Holder”
Before continuing, I want to be transparent: I know this model is not something extraordinary, and it may be similar to other designs already online. However, I published it on MakerWorld for the community, so that anyone could print it for personal use, specifically to hold Kinder Joy figurines — not for resale.
Finding it listed for sale was disappointing.
I reported the listing to Vinted, but unfortunately no action was taken.
After checking the seller’s profile, I discovered that they were also selling many other models taken from MakerWorld, all without proper licenses. To be sure, I contacted the original creators of those models directly on MakerWorld, and they all confirmed they had never authorized this person nor had any agreement with them.
At that point, I decided to contact the seller privately and asked them to remove the models that were not theirs.
It was clear from the listings that some of these models had already been sold in the previous days.
The seller responded by:
-
Blocking me
-
Removing my model from Vinted
A few hours later, I searched again and found the same model listed on eBay.
I immediately:
-
Contacted the seller
-
Reported the listing to eBay
eBay removed the listing, but the seller’s account remained active.
I then sent the seller a message informing them that I would report this behavior everywhere possible, including to authorities if necessary. his response was rude and mocking he laughed at the situation. (sorry the messages are in Italian )
I also told the seller that I would report them on MakerWorld, without even knowing who he really was.
Surprisingly, shortly after that, the seller contacted me directly here on MakerWorld.
They sent me a message saying:
“Hey Albania, take me away!”
This message felt mocking and slightly racist, although ironically I am not even Albanian.
I found it more ridiculous than offensive, but it clearly shows the attitude of this person.
After sending that message, the user deleted it and blocked me on MakerWorld as well.
now he changed name:
Despite all of this, the situation did not stop.
I later found:
-
My model
-
Other stolen MakerWorld models
being sold on Wallapop and Subito.it.
I contacted the seller again and asked for removal. Instead of cooperating, they:
-
Reported me
-
Got my accounts blocked on both platforms
Final Question to the Community and Staff
At this point, I honestly ask:
-
Is this behavior acceptable?
-
Is it normal that a user can repeatedly steal designs, sell them, harass creators, and face no real consequences?
-
What should creators do in cases like this?
I am reporting this not only for myself, but to protect the MakerWorld community and its creators, whose work should be respected.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support or guidance you can provide.
