The MakerLab tools are awesome, but I wish there was a small enhancement to the Make My Sign tool that enabled us to create a coaster/drinks mat with an embedded picture/icon.
It’s so close to being possible already in the tool, but I can’t see a way to make the picture/icon embedded within the baseplate. It is an option for signs – if you use facedown mode.
But you can’t use facedown mode and still have a raised rim around the plate for a coaster.
A feature to “sink” a picture/icon into the baseplate so it’s smooth would be a useful enhancement for both signs and enable coasters to be made.
