So I’ve printed it as well. Caveats first, esun PLA+ in black with absolutely no tuning, just default bambu pla profile. I set the machine up, did all the calibrations, updated the firmware and then couldn’t be bothered to run calibrations again, I will do this tomorrow. So this is black PLA, the worst possible lighting I could manage, and I really tried to show off the VFA’s. They are definitely there, but nowhere near as bad as my X1C was, and it looks better in person.
Now I think this is a better example. The cube on the left is the H2D and the one on the right was my X1C. Obviously ignore the moire effect from the camera.
The included 20 minute benchy had a weird effect on one side, but this could be the model, as it’s only that part, the rest looks excellent.
Is it perfect, certainly not, but I’m much happier with this than I was with my X1. After 2 days I was boxing that up to return for a refund. This is a much better starting point and I’m sure it will get better with me putting some effort in and future firmware upgrades.
It’s also much easier to live with. It’s a lot quieter and doesn’t sound like a bag of spanners.
