Requirement to certify photos results in unverifiable model

@MakerWorld - I was trying to certify all my photos are real images but now a model won’t verify because some new slicing time requirement.

The model slices just fine. It does take a long time due to the simulated weathered wood and the textured metal. It’s not a bug. It’s how the model is supposed to be. Now your requirement doesn’t even tell me how far I exceeded the slicing time.

I uploaded this model a few days ago and it was fine. It’s in the Halloween contest. I warn people it’s a long print due to the textures. It’s a good model being caught up in some arbitrary requirement someone recently added.

Now the model is in limbo unverified and the photos aren’t certified. Looking for answers on what to do. If I simplify it, it ruins screw threads. If I reslice with a thicker layer height it changes the model so I have to print it again, tear up the finished version and rebuild with the new degraded backplate and photograph again and recertify those photos too?

Is that really reasonable?

If you guys can’t find a way to fix this the model comes down. This is not reasonable.

@MakerWorld… Any word on what’s going on with the photo update and these new requirements that weren’t announced?

And please, if anyone else is going to go on the sarcastic reply over the photo marking requirement - this isn’t that. It’s a time to slice issue.

To close this loop - an old suggestion from MaKim in another thread worked!

I deleted the 3mf from print profiles and just uploaded it to the regular files section (Download STL/CAD Files) and now it can verify and the 3mf is accessible.

A workaround, @MakerWorld, @SupportAssistant, @BambuLab. It all could have been avoided had you not surprised us with this new requirement.

I’m not the only one with textured surface models and bet this catches others as they try to certify their photos as real.

And the number of updates may catch others out.

And we don’t even know if this was required on all already-posted models or just required when updating.

Bambu, this kind of spring rules on us without telling us is nonsense and very frustrating. I’ve had multiple conversations with other users, private and public, and still have yet to hear a peep out of Bambu.

Your Trustpilot numbers are up but they won’t stay up with this kind of customer “service”.

And now I’m getting to the models that had prime towers where the numbers of colors have made those prime towers encroach on the model and causes conflicts.

So now there’s takes too long to slice and prime tower encroachment.

And found another one. It’s a slicer thing. I had one part set in the clear area under another for more efficient printing. Now that’s not allowed and causes an error. Most models fixed. Four just deleted because I’m sick of this.

Can’t wait for others to hit these roadblocks. (not really) Too bad the prime tower issue wasn’t fixed before forcing everyone that can to trigger it. I’m building a list now of models that won’t update until I go back and edit the damn things.

Long slices - XXXXXXX
Prime tower encroachment when too many colors - XXXXXX
Slicing issues with placements that used to be ok - XXXXXX

Curious what other stoppers people will hit. I got all my models now updated after only about 5-6 hours of wasted damn time.

Final count is 13 models that now won’t verify because Bambu has added verification rules and never fixed them or told us.

And now here they are. Most will be easy to just turn off the prime tower, save, and re-upload. The others with different messages possibly not. Too bad prime towers were actually useful especially on multicolor prints.

This is so unacceptable and right now I’m furious with Bambu and this rollout. Yeah, AI was causing problems but Bambu has made it much worse.
