While the printhead was going to the back right of the build plate for nozzle clump detection, I thought it would be a great time to press pause and clean some strings wadding up on the nozzle tip and heat sock. No filament was being dispensed, it was moving away from the model. Great and safe time to pause, right?
Was great until I resumed printing. The position moved toward the next print location, crashing the print head into 3 pieces, detaching them from the build plate. Obviously, when printing got to those objects, they were out of position so new material could not find material to attach to.
Resuming from a pause should not catastrophically destroy a print.
