Hi! Alternative idea: a small left-side ‘reverse bento box’ that mounts to the Side Vent and pulls air out of the chamber, pushing it outside through HEPA + carbon. This would create mild negative pressure to cut leaks while keeping odors down. The module could be a 3D-printed vent adapter with a high-SP 60–92 mm fan, prefilter → HEPA → carbon, plus a back-draft damper. PLA should be fine thermally; the goal is cleaner exhaust and less room exposure.

The above fan doesn’t actually filter anything though does it? They only mention cooling.

“function” mentioned that a new fan appeared on the bambu labs wiki page and I thought it was a filter.
The item in question is on their website under - Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan (Left) - P2S

I see – tangentially though, based on what Bambu support told that person, I wouldn’t take it as a given that a mod kit is coming, let alone coming soon.
Even detailed DIY guides would be great though!
I just hope they sell the fan without the shroud, that would be good enough for me as a kit

Nice, albeit bulky. Hopefully someone comes up with a more integrated design.
I have filtering strategies for all my other printers and had forgotten how bad it is - 4 hours of sitting in the same room with the P2S printing PLA - I can taste it. (Admittedly, I’m printing at 240 deg C to reach my desired flowrate and gloss level so there would be more VOCs)

I think that this is very easy solution before the official solution. I can confirm that this works. Though I have possibility to vent straight outside with a 100mm pipe. Not using the filter box in the video.

I’m working on something similar
120cm fan (stock aux fan) with box filter you can fill with anything you want.
Sliding grill to select for external exhaust or internal circulation.
Based on a design I found from makerworld, but I “redesigned” it to use minimal support.
Cant upload image for some reason, so might upload to makerworld later if I’m feeling it…

Still many adjustment necessary, but it’s functioning.
Still no idea how to turn the fan on from slicer, you also cannot turn it on during print.

Seems like Bambu will release a Filter/Vent themself.

Hopfully with a solution to filter the fumes and not just another fan that blows out a different hole…

Go to MakerWorld, and search up " VentoBox for Bambu Lab P2S"
It Pulls air from the enclosure, filters it and either sends it back into the enclosure, or out the bottom exhaust hole, depending on how you have the door setup…
