Has anyone here been following GitHub - stmcculloch/arc-overhang: A 3D printer slicing algorithm that lets you print 90° overhangs without support material. and tried it on a Bambu printer?
(I’ld be interested in trying it but I don’t know enough about how these printers are driven to send raw gcode to them, or what would have to be in the gcode to make it work on a Bambu printer. I’m hoping someone more experienced has tried this already?)
It does look like fun. Even if the overhangs are currently a bit rough looking I wouldn’t be surprised if you couldn’t print on top of them to level it out a bit, i.e. use these overhangs as a sort of support for long bridging in cases where you don’t care so much about what the underside looks like…
