On my H2C, I printed a 3-color model from the Bambu Handy app from my phone. The three colors were all filaments on the H2C’c right side AMS. My nozzle rack includes four 4mm standard hardened steel nozzles (used for the print). So, in theory, the printer should cycle through three different induction nozzles and the print shouldn’t take too long since no flushes are required. But what actually happened is that the printer only used two nozzles, doing extra unnecessary flushing. Sometimes, it would cycle through all three colors using one nozzle, and sometimes it would use a second nozzle for a different color. But it never used more than two of the nozzles and did what seems like hundreds of unnecessary flushes.
So what is causing this inefficient behavior? Is it because I printed something (a toy for my son) off the Handy app and the Handy slicer is inefficient? This is troubling because what’s the point of the H2C if it’s not even going to use all the nozzles?
Thanks. That particular screen appears in the slicer but not on the Handy app. The Handy app shows all the proper nozzles are present. Is this to say that the Handy app shouldn’t be used in this case? I haven’t tried yet, but I can try slicing the same model in Bambu slicer to see if the same thing happens.
I just experienced this last night with a 5 color model I sent through the Handy app. I have all of the 6 stations filled with .4 nozzles currently and it only utilized stations 1 & 2 purging the 4 colors assigned to the right head between those two. I checked the g-code from the actual slicer and that makes the change between nozzles 1-4 correctly so there must be an issue in how the slicer in the app utilizes the Vortek nozzles. I’m not sure where you report bugs yet because this is my first printer and I have only had it about 6 weeks. I have logged over 650 hours of print time though and this is the first time I have tried to slice something from the app and not the computer.
Yes, thanks for confirming someone else has this issue. I am assuming this is an app issue. When slicing things like toys for my kids, yes using the app is much easier. I don’t know how to submit bugs to Bambu, hopefully they are reading these boards.

Thanks! I hope they are reading it too. I have tried to keep it running non-stop since I got it. I ended up going out last Saturday and buying an A1 just to handle the single color items which has about 40 hours on it now
My H2C just did this today. I had 5 right side nozzles selected in Studio when it was sliced. I assigned all three colors to the right side so I could print without moving filament around and it only used one two nozzles with purging to do a 3 color print. I am using latest version of Studio and H2C Firmware. Must be a bug when all colors are assigned to right side and not just a phone app issue.
