Yes, that’s been an issue with Bambu Lab their support tends to be slow.
I’m not sure if it will let you try extruding filament without the right nozzle installed, just to see what happens. Are the extruder gears properly aligned on the right-side arm, or is it moving back and forth like it’s loose?
One thing I would recommend. If you ever have to create a support ticket. If you think they may possibly need to ship you a part include your address. They responded in 2 days and said they would send some parts but they wanted to verify that the address would be the same as where all 20+ of my orders were shipped to. I replied back right away. It then took them 5 days to say. Thanks we are shipping it out now.
If you already did the ticket. REPLY now with your address “if needed, heres my shipping address”. They will read all replys.
I just double checked and I provided my address after the first automated response. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take too long, there is a reason I kept the box!
(Edit: I also just added a link to this thread, not sure if it will help but it gives them more information.)
It does seem like they really do want to fix all issues. I think they’re slammed right now with all the new releases. They didn’t play any games or try to blame issues on me.
I am not sure if it would or not either. I have swapped to the replacement nozzle that came with the unit, as well as swapped the left for the right and still get the same issue, just on the right.
Nothing seems to be loose, I wish it where, THAT I could attack and fix or at least point to and say “HA!!! got you!”
That’s really strange … it uses the same motor and main gear for pushing filament to both extruders. Beyond the idler pulley - I can’t really think of anything that would cause what you’ve explained.
Same with the Sovol group, just tons of knowledge. And ya, it is what it is. With the SV08 I have yet to run into something I can’t fix (with the help of the resources like the FB group).
I think I see what you are saying. I tested and it lets me extrude with no nozzle. It didn’t seem to have any issue. I think it has something to do with when it tries to calibrate the flow or some type of pressure sensor. If it were not so spendy, I would have just tried to figure it out with a hammer by now!
I can understand that, it happens. NOT looking forward to replacing it (small parts, ham fisted grunt and all) but as long as they get it resolved in a reasonable amount of time, I am good.
My initial thought is the nozzle looks fine, seems to be extruding without any issues. Is it my imagination, or should the bed not be raised right up just prior to printing. Is there any obstruction to the Z axis at all?
That I do not know, but as far as I can tell there is nothing impeding the bed from moving up and down. And on the nozzle, I have swapped it out and swapped from the left side to the right. Same issue with the right every time.
Definitely odd. Have you tried powering the machine off an on, and re-running all the calibrations again?
Bambu do recommend running the AMS from the right nozzle, and use the left for an external spool, except for TPU.
Good questions, I rebooted the machine, reset to factory settings, reupdated the firmware to the current version and rebooted again (I also tried before updating the firmware, same results). The AMS will not work with the right nozzle, it just produced the same error code. I have not tried it since I disassembled and reassembled the tool head, I will give it another go. And thanks for the questions, I keep hoping it’s user error or something I missed!
Ya it actually will not even load from the AMS. I swear it looks and sounds like the main gear is rotating counter clockwise, and it looks like it should be going clockwise for the right nozzle. I will tear it apart again, getting to the “I need to stop dealing with it for a while point” but I will give that one more go.
