Will do thanks to you and everyone else for all the help. Even if we didn’t get it figured out, I know I learned some, that makes it worth it!
They actually responded again, they are also sending out a new buffer unit and 6-pin cable. Odd since I told them the issue would still happen if I loaded filament directly into the extruder. BUT, this is what they do for a living so they know a LITTLE more about it than I do.
Collect as many parts as you can; I believe they’re trying to cover every possibility.
I tend to agree. I had the new extruder unit show up today. I installed it and had the same damn error. They also sent a new buffer unit and 6-pin cable, I have NO idea how that could help as, when bypassing the buffer it gave the same error but I will try when it shows up.
At this point I would send it back if they would send me one that actually fricken worked. I am close to just posting everywhere I can “don’t buy it!!”
Again, I have a feeling they are scrubbing errors. Am I wrong? not sure yet.
I think it assumes that if it’s not TPU even if it’s external it is still going through the buffer. In your video your buffer slams to the left. The picture I posted above says if the buffer hits the left it triggers a sensor saying that you have a Jam. It then tries to unload
I haven’t disassembled the rear buffer yet, so I’m not entirely sure whether it only has a filament Hall sensor or if it also monitors the buffer’s travel distance and sends that data to the control board. For example, if the sensor indicated the buffer was at maximum travel, the system might logically assume the extruder motor could get overloaded.
I hope Bambu Lab releases more technical documentation on the H2D. As we learn more about the components, it will become easier to understand how this printer thinks.
Hopefully, these last pieces are all you need to get going.
It is just ABS. With going through the buffer with the AMS, without the AMS or directly feeding to the extruder head. same error. So I am confused as to how the buffer could be the issue. That said, this is not my wheelhouse, I just don’t see how it intuitively makes sense that, something bypassed could be the issue. I keep hoping that the “head shed” at Bambu can figure it out or send me a unit that works.
Let’s hope… I seem to have paid a lot for what is, currently , a paper weight.
When I took my unit apart to replace the tool head and x-axis I had to remove the buffer. It has a cable going to it with a bunch of terminals on a PCB. It looked like the cable plugs into the board on the left side at the top. It only takes one screw to access the board that the buffer would plug into. It’s a long cover that goes across the top left all down the side. Behind that cover is one of the main boards for the printer. There’s definitely some type of sensors on the buffer, otherwise I don’t see why it would have a cable and a PCB
Hey everyone,
I’m new to 3D printing, and the H2D is my first printer. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was a good choice. I thought any available software would help. Right now, the software is bothering me. Yesterday, I had the same problem as described, but luckily, it’s fixed.
What did I do?
- I aborted the process.
- I manually cut the filament by pressing the lever on the right side.
- Then, I removed the nozzle and removed the remaining filament with pliers.
- I navigated to the menu where I can perform a cold pull on the right extruder.
- After pulling out the filament, I installed the nozzle and loaded the extruder with Bambulab PLA-CF—and lo and behold, the error disappeared, and I hope it stays, as there are still plenty of other errors I need to figure out.
The problem occurred when using SUNLU ASA filament without AMS
You have just cleared your first clogged nozzle!! It can and will happen again, it’s just part of the hobby regardless of printer.
Trust me when I say there are much more labor intensive printers to start with. It’s a great hobby that has a healthy learning curve.
Unfortunately, my issue is not a clogged nozzle I actually replaced the entire extruder unit last night with a new one sent by Bambu… and still havint the same issue.
I don’t think that mine was clogged because in the over all First Step I stopped the Print and restarted it. everything worked quied well. As well as the purge in the beginning to clean the nozzle and this would not if the nozzle is clogged.
The error occurred just before the Printer started to print the model.
Well glad the error did not persist. Bambu sent a new extruder and I swapped out the old one, I still have the same issue.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve owned all the Bambu machines (except the X1E) and have done maintenance on some of them, but this problem has me completely stumped. I even disassembled the entire hotend, but that didn’t fix it. I also don’t understand how the buffer could have anything to do with the issue. Please, please let me know if you ever find a solution. I’d really appreciate it!
The buffer does have a cable going to it. iit supposedly has a sensor in it, and if the buffer slides all the way to the left during a print, it will trip a tangled filament Error code.
I could also see if your tubing wasn’t pushed in all the way. There wouldn’t be enough pressure on the buffer tube to keep it from just slapping to the left. I don’t know exactly, but I think my tubing goes in three or four inches, it’s a lot.
