Ripples on first layer with newest firmware

Hi everyone! First post on here.

Have any of you had issues with ripples on the first layer since firmware update 1.02.00.00? I started noticing terrible ripples in the bottom right corner of my build plate in the last week or so (I had totally forgotten I did a firmware update). I assumed it was from that bracket on the bottom of the build plate that helps for rigidity for shipping purposes (from what I read on the Bambu 1st layer optimization for H2D), but I was still having bad ripples after removing the bracket and recalibrating everything.

Turns out it was the firmware update. I reverted back to 1.01.04.00 and the first layer was perfect again.

I had exactly the same issues previously but that was with another firmware update. I reset, recalibrated, no use. But I magically fixed it by downgrading then upgrading again.

This seems to only occur on bottom surfaces beyond a certain length/width, which is pretty counter intuitive. Smaller than that, and it’s suddenly immaculate again.

Some examples (mm), X followed by Y as oriented:
110 x 180 bottom: ripples
110 x 180 bottom with a 10 x 30 cutout in the middle, replaced by same material normal support: ripples, but support bottom interface is immaculate
180 x 54 bottom: immaculate
180 x 55 bottom: immaculate
180 x 67 bottom: immaculate
180 x 41 bottom: immaculate
