This small piece was printed on my x1c. The arched surface is the top of the print. The finish is extremely choppy. Is this because of the arc? Everything else prints really smooth. I used bambu matte pla and cut speed in half. .4 mm nozzle using all normal pla presets except reducing speed. Any help would be appreciated, this surface is going to mate with another so i would like it to be as smooth as possible… Jim

Yep - layer lines. You can change the layer thickness in settings to get thinner layers which will make for smaller steps. You can’t get rid of them totally though. There’s also a variable layer height tool in Studio that will let you have normal layer heights until you get to that curved area where you can then set your thin layers. That can save time over making all layers thinner.
You could print in a different orientation where the layers stack different in the print to get better resolution on that curve but standing that on its side to do that would take support.
