Sadly getting P1S becasue Exhaust Fan Kit is impossible to buy

I’m looking to add another printer to my setup. I already have the P1S and H2C, and I was planning to upgrade to the P2S. My only real requirement is the ability to externally vent the printer.

I’ve literally been waiting three weeks with the P2S sitting in my cart because the External Exhaust Fan was supposed to be available on April 7th. I’ve been refreshing the site all morning today—super pumped and excited to finally order it. Then suddenly, the availability date changed to April 22.

Honestly, that’s pretty frustrating. Losing a sale over a $30 CAD part that arguably should be included with the printer doesn’t make much sense.

At this point, I’ll probably just go with another P1S and the older AMS.

Still, it feels strange. In a capitalist system, you’d expect supply to meet demand—especially for essential accessories tied to a product. It makes me wonder how they can’t keep up with parts for their own printers, or how demand is being forecast in the first place.

A lot of stuff might be stuck on a ship because of the Israel-Iran-US war

If you really want the printer, just buy it and temporarily put it in a plant tent until the part arrives.

There are also printable options for exhaust fans on Makerworld.

So, you’re referring to which country?

I’m in Canada:) We are not affected by the ships stuck in Hormuz, only oil tankers are affected, so printers should be fine and accessible for everyone, I think Canada ships to Vancover from China.

If I were you I would buy the P2S and add the Exhaust Fan Kit from Aliexpress or somewhere else. Lots of them for roughly the same price. My P2S detected it and works since then w/o a problem. It came in an original looking package wit all the tiny screws, the pcb and so on. Printed the 3D parts as described in the Wiki.
