Are the prints from MakerWorld for personal use only, or are the available to be printed and sold?
there are some that can be sold and some that cant there is a filter to check or you can buy the license from them sometimes its in there bio

Determined by the creator of the model. They can publish under a number of license terms as pineapplefish mentioned.
Each model page has the license terms clearly posted with links to explanations. But it’s all model by model, creator by creator. And many creators will use different licenses on different models.

Good keyword to keep an eye out for is Patreon. Makerworld has it’s commercial license service built in, but there’s a lot of creators that offer their license through Patreon.

Many of the people on Makerworld don’t allow commercial use of their products, or even allow giving it away for free, with the Standard Digital File license and other restrictive licenses. However, if you find an open source model (CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, CC0) then you can sell it. All licenses except CC0 state that you must give credit to the creator, so remember to do that when selling it.
P.S. Printables (Prusa’s version of Makerworld) has a lot more open-source models so try it.
(EDIT: A lot of models are being taken off Printables and other model repositories due to Makerworld’s Exclusive Program. I think it’s not fair but ah well, people get money for it)
