Saved custom filament preset reverting override settings to previous state

Watch this to see what’s happening

Is this considered a bug? Why does this happen?
I save the filament preset after editing it but for some reason the override tab settings gets reverted to previous state. I have to uncheck them again every time I open bambu studio, which is so damn annoying to do sporadically.

Is it the same as this?

Please report this to support and make an issue on Github. They don’t belive me until I make a video out of this and I’m tired to manually edit all my profiles.

oh i think it’s the same issue i’m having. i’ll try out what he did on his post. thanks for linking it!

tried it. didn’t work. the “nil” thing keeps appearing at the json file when i uncheck the options in settings override. sigh.

This is an issue with Bambu, they pushed a profile update out nearly 2 weeks ago and it caused massive issues, I ran a thread on the issue and got nothing but roasted by forum members telling me it was a dirty bed.

Easiest way to check this is to print PETG for example, which my profile set to 245 nozzle temp, yet the printer started at 230 degrees, and a bed temp of 70 yt my profile was bed temp of 80.

Create a new profile, fixed it for me. Has not come back yet for me,

Its seriously made me look at switching to Orca slicer because of this cock up by bambu

Wasting your time reporting anything to bambu, tbf.

My ticket for a fault printer has had no response for 3 days now,

Instead of using nil, enter the correct value for both the standard-flow and high-flow fields. Use the same value in both places. That’s how I got the profiles working. I also disabled cloud sync, since it kept pushing corrupted presets back to my system.

for some reason the other filament settings are saving just fine.it’s only the Setting Overrides that keep reverting or enabling for some reason. I tried making a new filament setting save by renaming it. but when i deleted the old one it also deleted the new one. good thing i noted down my changes and i had to make another new damn one.

If you look at the base profile—the one your preset inherits from—you can see the error appear as soon as you modify any default setting that differentiates between single-nozzle and multi-nozzle setups.
This looks more like they’re quietly trying to prepare Studio for the H2C and don’t really know what they’re doing, which is why things keep breaking in the process.

I just checked my settings, the zhop type is forced by bambu now, I can not override it, every time i change it, save it, it reverts back to bambu forced settings.

Its like having an Apple product, you will do as we say lol

that’s the one of the settings that keeps freaking turning on. along with wipe while retracting and wipe distance

wipe while retracting is good for PETG, wipe distance doesn’t matter. So I have them on, so don’t notice them turning back on,

But ZHOP I want off, yet every time I save it, then go to a new project or close/open BL studio is forced back on.

My P2S has to go back, I won’t be buying another P2S, whether I buy another bambu is unsure, as I do not want to be forced to do it their way.

Quick bit of testing done, I have a saved PETG filament profile, all my settings done.

Lets say I change something, it goes red to say its changed from default. I do not save.

I go and open another project, with the saved profile settings inside my project, the thing I changed in the other project file comes across, so I never saved it, but bambu is remembering it.

Now, if when you open another model, or close studio it asks you to save, it saves the red change in your profile, not just your project file.

So thats messed up, might explain why settings are creeping across, as I have several bambu instances open, move around project files multiple times. I do not expect it to carry across changes I made but did not save, but it seems too.

i noticed i can’t eveni gave up editing the filament override settings and left the checked settings enabled (the checkboxes on the left), what did save though was when i just edited the settings on the right side. and it seems to be a problem with the cloud settings? sometimes desyncs happen and when i close BS and reopen them another time the old settings comes back. so i always check the settings now before starting any print which is annoying as those are added extra steps for me.
