Saving print jobs

Am I wishful thinking or missing something. To be honest I might not be doing it right. Is there a way to save a print job to Bambu Studios instead of the computer/laptop you’re on so that you can access it from a different computer/laptop? I’m having to recreate jobs when I switch computers.

There’s no “save to cloud” feature, if that’s what you’re looking for. You need to “bring your own” file sharing method – local network, cloud storage, portable media, or similar. Then work on the same shared file from different computers, saving/copying it to the shared location each time before switching machines.

If you’re using the app, then yes, there’s a cloud project storage service:

“While a print file may be able to transfer to the printer directly, it still needs to be transferred to the cloud to support the history print feature in Bambu Handy (when the printer’s LAN mode is not enabled). The file in the cloud will be removed after 90 days by default.”

However, since you specifically asked about the PC version, you’ll have to look into other options:

  • Cloud storage like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.
  • Save the file on your computer and then transfer it - Network, USB storage, whatever
  • The file is saved on the printer, and you can repeat the job at any time
  • You can upload your project to MakerWorld and mark it as private (though I wouldn’t really recommend that)
