…which right nozzle gets which color, would this cause a need for the black filament to be purged out of the nozzle where the white filament is about to print?
I am using the right nozzles only with 0.4 mm nozzles.
Does the H1C automatically use more than one (1) nozzle when using multiple colors of filament?
Do I have to designate different nozzles for the different colors?
Of the three modes available for slicing (Filament saving, Convenience, Custom) it is currently advisable to use the latter two.
Filament saving mode is supposed to optimize for waste reduction. While it does tend to spread the print across different nozzles, there are plenty of examples here in the forum where it does not however save any filament or time …
Convenience mode uses the current filament loading. So if both colors are assigned to the same nozzle, it’ll only use that one and need purges.
In Custom mode, you can assign filaments to the left or right extruder/nozzle.
Yes, this can happen. Depends on the slicing mode and filament allocation.
No, this also depends on the slicing mode and filament allocation.
You do not have to, but it can be helpful.
Nowadays, I tend to stick with Convenience or Custom mode. At least with those, I know what is going to happen
Gotcha! Thanks for the quick response! I was disappointed when I could not figure out how to use more than one right nozzle for 2 colors of ASA and saw the same nozzle being used for both colors.
