Hello there
Not new to 3d printing, new to bambu lab, first time posting here, maybe some of you smart people have an idea about this topic.
Recently, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole trying to get rid of seam blobs, what else is new? ![]()
Case in point, designing a hygrometer gasket (bl 95a hf tpu) for a drybox, I’ve managed to get a pretty good result, not the best, but way better than the default auto profile.
BUT, it involves no retraction for longer travel than the scarf length, and the inside of the circle looks like this
because the travel from the end of the scarf of the inner wall and the beginning of the outer line crosses the wall although the avoid crossing wall option is checked with 1000mm set as length
My question for the more experienced in bl studio is this a feature or a bug? shouldn’t all moves avoid crossing walls, not just those that feature retraction?
because if I set a shorter length than the scarf length to trigger a retraction, avoiding walls comes into play as expected
is there another option I’ve overlooked?
Cheers
Razvan
