Hello,
I recently purchased a x1-carbon printer. It worked temporarily, allowing me to connect to the app and start the calibration. However, the screen soon started blinking from the start page to black about every five seconds. I have not been able to get around this. As per recommendations on another thread, I unplugged and replugged in the cable. I later replaced the cable in its entirety in case there was damage and the issue remains. I have installed a micro sd card with the right FAT32 format as well. I can’t factory reset because I can’t access the page. I’m really confused by this. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I hate to say this, but file a support ticket.
Just to clarify, you installed the SD card after the screen flashing issue started? I ask as a faulty SD card can do weird things while the printer boots.
Yes. The issue was occurring before I installed any SD card. I added one because there’s a similar issue which, as you were saying, can be caused by them.
Same issue here, I power on X1C and the screen works long enough to get to the calibration screen (if I hurry), been then starts flashing on and off every few seconds, and when it flashes on it’s no longer at calibration but at the initial “Bambu Labs” startup screen.
I put in a ticket on NOVEMBER 9th!!! Still haven’t gotten a response from them. I’m so pissed off at this point! I have two Bambu Printers and two AMS systems and half of it has been a paper weight for 3 months and they can’t even respond? They were sure quick to respond when I was trying to give them my credit card info to make a purchase, they were immediately responding to those communications lol
Just an update to everyone with this issue. After more investigation, as well as taking it to a repair professional, I discovered that the main circuit board came damaged. I submitted a tech ticket and luckily they responded in a couple of days. I’m sorry to all those who are still waiting, they can be very random in their response times. Anyways, I got the printer replaced and the new one works great. Everything I’ve learned points to the issue being a manufacturing defect, so don’t think that you broke it in some way. My best advice as of now is to hope the ticket goes through, or consider submitting a new one. When they have responded, it has been very helpful. I wish everyone best of luck!
