Hello everyone Friday I changed filament from pla to petg to print the big Bambu tool box after 40min the extruder clogged and run 3 hours printing without filament in it.
I checked the hotend which was clogged too I clear that and noticed I can’t get the filament extracted.
So I was going to exchange the extruder luckily I got a brand new spare.
So hotend again out and then I wanted to take the screw out from the build in filament cutter.
It was so tight in that the hextool could not screw it out I checked the screw and it is round like a circle. I try the usual tips with rubberband superglue with no success so any idea what I’m going to do? I could cry that the whole printer is shut down by a worn off screw. Don’t understand why Bambu lab take so soft screws on steel hextool I bet sooner or later the forums will be full of it. Due to maintain u often have to use the screw.
Did you get this resolved? I had the same thing happen to me. I ended up removing the c-clip from the arm axel and sliding the cutting arm off the head. Once off, I then used a pair of pliers to unscrew the hex bolt from the back and then I replace the bolt with a steel one.
Hi ToxicHaste,
i buyed a special micro screw removal tool called “micro grab it” with this tool it was sooooo easy. belive me i tryed all before super glue, latex gloves bigger screwdriver diffrent screwheads and even sugru a formable gum glue and many other things. like 3 days i tryed for hours. when se set arrive it was done in 20 sekonds.
best investment i did this year. i buyed a special japanese screw from a model builder shop this shop where you can buy stuff for smal scale cars trains planes like revell dont know the name of but in this shop i get a model japanese screw very strong and perfect matching.
well this will never again happen to me:) all because jayo petg filament clogged the extruder.
good that you get it fixed smart to solve like you did, but my way was easier and faster
Happens to you also by PETG clogging the extruder ?!
By the Way where did you get the transparent extruder, that is very usefull to see if its clogged and where it is clogged. Or is this the Picture from Bambu Wiki ?
Just ran into this issue with almost brand new printer. Thanks for the ideas on how to fix, but very frustrating issue for this expensive of a machine.
get a grab it kit you will never got again in destroyed screws not only for printers but also for phones pc laptop and so on. it save me so much time now its a good investment bellive me.
