Self printed spools in AMS 2 Pro drying

Just got P1s and ams 2 pro. wanted to dry filament. One spool I had printed myself and used a clip, not thinking. there was no where just ease filament.

filament came out of all 4 spools and apparently my clip was caught too. How do yall clip your filament when drying? I tried dragging and uploading the image

Welcome to the forum.

I use @Josh-3D spools printed in ABS. They have a great integrated filament clip.

I then left the spool there where my next print rolled it off and it pulled out the power cord. I should just make a list of dumb things I have done with the P1!

I did the same here lol, I forgot the spool I made was made with PLA. The temp was set for the ABS material I was trying to dry, sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you lol :).

Not that I am impatient or anything, but while I was waiting for my AMS to arrive I printed some things. Great! then sent another to printer, realizing later It was configured for ABS and I was using PLA! Massive extruder cleanup! Coming from A1, it is much more ignorant friendly!

I’ve forgotten a few times and printed stuff in PLA that I should have printed in PETG. I generally like to print my spools and adapters in translucent clear PETG.
