Seriously? Why and how do I fix it?!

So I have a A1 and the nozzle is clogged mid print right now. It detected the filament isn’t extruding and the nozzle returned to home and told me its not extruding correctly. (Awesome! job Bambu I appreciate this)

Now the WTF moment. How do I unclog it?!?! The printer refuses to let me fix it! I cant change the nozzle temp, I cant move the head out of home position. I cant tell it to extrude. I even tried maintenance mode but it keeps telling me its in the middle of a print. What use is this?!?

What good is the error if they refuse to let me fix it? How do I fix this so my 27 hour print isn’t ruined?

If you have a spare nozzle, you can try manually cutting the filament, unloading it and putting the new nozzle in place and then reload the filament. This may work and then you can unclog the nozzle later. If not, make a note of the layer that the print quit on. Cancel the print, unclog the nozzle, go back into the print and cut the print at the layer line that it stopped on. Print the cut top piece and glue the print together.

So am I correct in assuming bambu has not implemented any type of override for this situation? Is there a known reason for this shortcoming?

I unscrewed the little black poop catcher and shoved a needle in it a few times as I hit continue then rescrewed it back on mid print like a juggling act.

I have not been able to find any over-ride for that, and I have no idea why they haven’t introduced one. It would be nice if they did though.

I’ll have to add your solution to things to do when this happens and I don’t have a spare.

Turn it off, then turn it on again. As long as you don’t attempt to load/unload filament you shouldn’t get stuck. Move the printhead and heat and operate the extruder with Studio or Handy.

Have you tried heating the nozzle and using a very fine needle to gently put in from underneath to loosen the filament stuck inside, this should release the matter out.
