What is the best way to understand, how to use custom materials for engraving?
I want to engrave for example on a stone.

If the material is not in the library, I would pick for instance the aluminum business card as the material to start with.
You can then save that material under a different name.
After that you might want to do a test run on a piece of material to find the good settings for your stone.
Since the color of the material has a lot of influence, you need a test part of the same material.
In the design menu, you will find an option to define a test pattern.
In that test pattern you can set different speed and power limits.
Run the test pattern, adjust parameters accordingly and save those in your newly created material.
