Bambu’s competitor, AnyCubic, has many similar features that they theoretically copied, but they also have small changes. The one I am focusing on is the star rating/review that they use, which allows potential customers to see comments and ratings on previous buys from other customers. Due to the amount of ratings Makerworld models get, I figured it might be good for them to have ratings on their actual product. While this is only a minor feature, I think it could make a difference and could increase Bambu/Makerworld growth by attracting more customers. Does anybody feel the same?
You may want to edit this post and move it into Other topics? It doesn’t really fit in MakerWorld.
It’s a marketing decision. Some companies benefit from having reviews on product pages because it adds social proof & credibility. But theres a reason other companies like Apple & DJI don’t have customer reviews on their sites.
Okay. I really couldn’t find a topic.
How again do you change it? I am a bit new.
Press the Pencil icon near your title.
This lets you edit the total and the categories.
- Category > Other Topics
- Optional > Product-Request
Anycubic also gives coupons and discounts to those that leave a review.
I’m sure that doesn’t influence the reviews at all.
All I see is the magnifying glass.
Oh yeah I forgot about that. Bambu might also want to consider other incentives.
Do you not see a problem with offering incentives for reviews?
From one of mine.
The pencil is on the far right at the end of the title.
This is the display you see when you press it.
How do I get to that page?
Click the pencil icon next to the title. Just scroll up to the top of this post and click on the pencil.
You are the author of the post, I have no idea why you do not have the ability to edit your own post. I have never seen that before.
Can you fix this post for the author, please?
I would have done it, but, recent changes on the forum removed that ability from all those with elevated security, weird decision as we can no longer help.
Add the optional category of “Product Request”.
I have noticed the new updates doing weird things. Hopefully next update they will add in reviews and fix the forum.
Thank you @JonRaymond for fixing this annoying glitch!
I am surprised at how quickly everybody responded to this topic, so if you have the time please check out the new topic I just posted Help Me! My Printer Is Trying To Self-Destruct!, which is about my only printer trying to destroy itself. Unfortunately, while it is broken I cannot print my 7 new models and put them on Makerworld.
It might have something to do with trust levels on the forum. Only some people can edit their posts?
The users designated with moderator or admin functions have and can implicitly modify topics and posts, besides other …perks.
