I’m a small 3D Printing Business Owner and I’m debating whether to sell my A1C and buy a P1S Combo as it’s probably better especially if it’s going to be on a lot in my office and not in an enclosure…
I’d like your opinions on it as I am really unsure…

It is harder to regulate once you get older.
Do you print anything for your business that needs an enclosure? I’d prefer the P1S, and the Black Friday price is really good… but if you only print PLA you’ll be fine with the A1C.
How about buy a P2S (not P1S) now, then wait?
Sell the A1C when A2C comes out and buy it.
I do want to print in PLA-CF but the printer is in my office and I don’t really have any space to put it as if I put it outside the moisture will build up on the filament and it’ll be all stringy, and I wanted to buy it on Black Friday as it’s a really good price. And when I print in bulk I work in my office/room, hence the reason for the P1S.
A1 has some delicious addon potential, being an open frame.

I really like mine. These guys’ software sucks (hictop) so look around IMO unless you love editing gcode, but there’s lots of similar schemes. This is a hard thing to do with an enclosed printer.
I really like mine too, but I don’t think it’s great for me to breathe in fumes from the printer even with my windows open.
I have seen some reviews that the code on the P1S and enclosed printers UI on the screen looks interesting to say the least.
I’m a bit tight on money at the moment and the Black Friday Sale doesn’t include the P2S, I’ll see though…
You have a business.
Do you need the new printer right now for any works on your business? If no, do not buy it.
If you need it now for some works or you want to expand your services, it’s a business inversion so, buy it.
Another vote here for “buy now if you use this to make money”, and also for enclosed printing. I considered an A1, then went for the P1S because my printer lives in my office near my desk. No regrets. The fans are somewhat louder than an open-frame printer (I used to have a Monoprice knockoff of the E3 bedslinger), but I accept that as a reasonable trade off.
Bambu Lab printers have been holding their values well in the aftermarket. I see used A1 and A1 mini printers sold for remarkably close to Bambu’s sale prices on Facebook Marketplace all the time. You will probably get $200 for your A1, which knocks the cost of a P1S down nicely too.
Man, I wish facebook marketplace hadn’t consumed craigslist. I dont use social media, and am in general much happier for that fact, but the loss of functional craigslist is a tough one. I don’t see anything but antique junk from some dead farmer on my local listings!
That’s what I’m thinking, because my printer is fairly new (about 7 months) and I only really print in PLA but would like to go towards TPU or PLA-CF as well, my business hasn’t started gaining traction yet, but thank you for that.
If you have room to run it, keep it. You can never have too many printers. There are times all three of mine are in full swing and I find something else I need printed.
As the A1 Combo is actually a 350€ with black friday rebate and 470€ without.
Why would you need to sell it ? … for 200€ 150€ ?
The P1 doesn’t have the quick hotend magnetic swap ability the A1 have.
So, if you need to swap hotends frequently, it might be a good choice to keep The A1 for smaller jobs with 0.4 mm or 0.2 mm hotends.
And buy a P1S or a P2S for bigger pieces.
The P2S has the magnetic hotends, so, so, if you buy a P2S, it would not be so useful to keep the A1.
Except if you need to print multiples parts, then having two printers would help to print the parts at the same time and gain time with parallel tasking.
Infine, this is your choice.
I printed TPU 95A from Amazon basic on a A1 (small pieces) and it worked really well.
I had to guess some parameters to print correctly as the automatic flow rate doesn’t work on “soft” TPU
And use the manual spool support, as the AMS can’t be uses with TPU.
We currently run 2 P1S, A1 mini and have an H2S on the way. Having a P1S for business at $399 is never a wrong answer. Not even with an AMS added in.
You may regret not buying it, but you won’t regret if you do.
