Hi All,
I thought I would share my latest print: The Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Printed on the P1S with the AMS. Feedback welcome.

Is this a model you designed and printed or a model you printed that someone else designed?

It looks big, what are the dimensions?

I love the book, I love the movie and I love that print. It looks amazing, thanks for posting it.

I purchased the model from Gambody, printed it, and put it together. I am teaching myself Blender so I can (hopefully) start printing my own stuff. The model is about 21 inches long but is printed in sections so that I could have sized it up.

Besides it’s beautiful? That’s really a nice print.

It looks great, it goes together nicely.

Lots of tips for your designer journey.

Welcome to the world of 3D design and printing, it is fun, then it isn’t, then it is, then someone judges you, then you want to scream and then, it all starts again.

That is really superb.
As a side note, I had never heard of that site before your post and I might have to avail myself of some of the models I saw, once my skills are at that level.

A certain @johnfcooley would like that website.

That’s where the Star Destroyer came from.

I do like that site, some models are a bit much, but most are great detail and easy enough to print.

Lots of fun stuff on that site. I printed the UFO Shado Interceptor from there. I am working now on The Time Machine from the 1960’s film.

Wow, that is really nice! Is it painted? If not, what filament is that?

Thanks! It is not painted. I used Bambu Lab PLA Metal - Copper Brown Metallic for the hull.

Very cool ! I remember this as a kid. Mysterious Island movie had the Nautilus in there from what I remember.

Wow! That looks great! Especially your choice of colors.

I remember reading the book some 60 years ago, it really spurred on your imagination. The model looks great in copper filament
Thx for sharing

That is very, very, awesome! And 21 inches long?!
Now you make me want to print one, but It won’t turn out nearly as nice. :frowning:
Thanks for sharing the site that’s offering it.
“20,000 leagues under the Sea” was the first Sci-Fi novel I ever read. It was one of the first novels of any subject that I read, in the third grade.
This reminds me of the exhibit they used to have at Disneyland…
Thanks for sharing it.

Please share an image of the Time Machine when complete!
That’s one I’d like to do, but I need to hone my skills…

Thanks to you (and everyone) for your kind words. I will post The Time Machine when it is done. I am using a 0.2 nozzle on some of the pieces to capture the fine detail, so it is very slow to print.

Really very beautiful. Beautiful achievement
