Slicer isn't showing both objects

Hi,

I’m brand new to this and I’m sure I’m just missing something obvious, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. I want to print a coaster with an image I found online. The main part of the coaster will be one color and the actual drawing will be black.

This is what I want the design to look like: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

I created that in InkScape and then saved it as an SVG file.

I brought the SVG file into TinkerCad. I first made a cylinder at 100x100 so it’s the same size as the image. I put the image on the cylinder and brought it up so they were the same height and I thought everything was looking good. I saved each object separately.

I brought the two pieces into Bambu Slicer and I think it looks OK in the preview (ignore the typo): Imgur: The magic of the Internet

However, when I slice it and then scroll through the layers, it’s just making a solid orange disk: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

What am I missing so that the image part actually shows up?

Thanks.

Did you subtract the image from the base first? If both pieces are occupying the same space in the model, the slicer will not switch filaments.

No I didn’t. I just put one on top of the other. How do I do the subtraction?
